چکیده

This paper proposes a microstrip patch antenna (MSPA) in the Ku band for satellite applications. The is small size with dimensions of about 40 mm×48 mm×1.59 mm and fed coaxial cable 50 Ω impedance. proposed has wide bandwidth 3.03 GHz ranging from 12.8 to 15.8 GHz. To realize characteristics wideband techniques defective ground structure (DGS) etching slots on radiating element are adopted. modeled FR4 substrate. A basic circular selected design dual-frequency operation next step DGS introduced into enhanced achieved at both frequencies. attain wider two etched which one square ring slot second slot. novelty miniaturized unique response within region applicable wireless UWB applications VSWR <2 an average gain 3.6 dB.
